PROVIDENCE, R.I. — A new coach and a mostly familiar roster take the floor Monday night when Brown begins its 120th season of men’s basketball against New Hampshire at the Pizzitola Sports Center in Providence, with the opening jump ball at 7 o’clock.

The game is the first for Brown under head coach Eric Reveno, who inherits 12 players from the 2025-26 team. That squad finished 9-18 and went 6-8 on its home court.

Jeremiah Jenkins is the headliner among the returners. He was in the starting lineup for every game last winter and finished first in the Ivy League in both assists and steals per game. Two more returners, N’famara Dabo and Isaiah Langham, also played in all 27. Langham earned the league’s weekly rookie honor five times, only the fifth Bear ever to manage that.

Defense is one place to watch. Brown allowed 70.1 points per game last winter and was whistled for 18 fouls a night.

New Hampshire comes in off a rough year away from home, winning just once in 17 road games, and the Wildcats were 5-12 in America East play. Coaches there bring back two players who started all 30 games, Davide Poser and John Squire, plus Tyler Bike, an all-rookie pick in the conference who started the final 14 games and is the top returning scorer at 7.5 points.

The visitors were not much stingier than Brown last season. New Hampshire surrendered 74.6 points a game and averaged 17.7 fouls, so both teams enter with something to prove at the defensive end.

The series is nearly even. Brown holds a 26-29 record against New Hampshire all-time but has taken the last two meetings.

The Bears stay home for their next game, hosting Boston University on Friday, Nov. 6, at 7 p.m.
