Nason, 56, died on September 13, 2025, after a brief battle with cancer. Gregory was the son of George A. Nason and the late Ann (Manfredo) Nason. He is survived by his father, brother David G. Visitation will be held on Monday at 10 AM at the Pontarelli-Marino Home, located at 971 Branch Ave., Providence. A funeral home service will follow at 12 PM on the same day. Cornell, 100, passed away on September 17, 2025, in Cranston. He was the beloved husband of the late Veronica G. (Colarusso) Cornell. Edward is survived by his devoted children, Donald E. Cornell (Karen), Patricia M. Baligian (Arlin), and Ann Murphy (Patrick). His remarkable century-long life left a lasting influence on his family and friends, shaping many cherished memories. Cynthia “Cindy” Walsh Maciog passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025, at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, VA. Born on September 23, 1950, in Providence, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of the late Margaret Mary Furlong Walsh and Joseph Francis Walsh. Cindy attended Warwick Veterans High School and graduated with honors from Rhode Island College, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She later earned a master’s degree in education from the same institution. Cindy dedicated 32 years to the education field, serving various roles including that of a 4th-grade teacher, elementary school librarian, and educational technology specialist, before retiring in 2009. Throughout her life, she was known for her profound love, support, and guidance toward her family. She met her husband, Henry Maciog, on May 8, 1969, and they were married on June 24, 1973. Together, they had two children, Amanda and Gregory. A mass in memory of Cindy Walsh Maciog was celebrated at St. Martin of Tours Parish in Fort Belvoir, VA. In honor of her love for animals, contributions in Cindy’s name may be made to Peace, Love and Poms Rescue, a small breed dog rescue based in Lebanon, PA. These four individuals have left their marks in numerous ways, touching the lives of those around them. Their memories will continue to live on in the hearts of family and friends who remember their contributions to their communities, their families, and the lives they influenced.
