Born in Pawtucket, Lori-Ann was the daughter of the late Gerard and Roberta (Lauzon) LaChance. She was raised in Lincoln, where she graduated from Lincoln High School. After spending some time in Pawtucket, she moved back to Lincoln, where she spent the remainder of her life.

Lori-Ann had a long and dedicated career as a secretary in the Recovery Unit of Rhode Island Hospital and Hasbro Children’s Hospital, serving the community for over 20 years. She was a devoted mother to her children, Shannon Luttge and Jared Hart, and took great joy in attending her grandchildren’s baseball and basketball games, where she was known for her enthusiastic cheering.

Family and Personal Life

Lori-Ann is survived by her daughter, Shannon Luttge, and her husband, Steve, who reside in Burrillville. She is also survived by her son, Jared Hart, along with his wife, Stephanie, both of Lincoln. Along with her immediate family, she leaves behind five grandchildren: Geoffrey Luttge, Griffin Luttge, Ava Hart, Olivia Hart, and Jordan Hart.

She had a close-knit relationship with her brothers, Gary LaChance (Kathie), Glenn LaChance, Gregory LaChance (Ellen), and Gerry LaChance. Throughout her life, Lori-Ann maintained lifelong friendships, including one with Pamela (Azar) Dunn. The Chalmers Family were also regular visitors, contributing joy and companionship throughout her years.

Passions and Hobbies

A lifelong and devout Catholic, Lori-Ann attended Sunday Mass regularly, finding strength and comfort in her faith. She was an avid reader and didn’t miss an opportunity to cheer for her favorite sports teams, including the New England Patriots, Boston Celtics, and New York Yankees. Additionally, she enjoyed traveling to Cape Cod to appreciate the scenic landscape and cherished shopping trips with her friend Jo-Anne Shannahan.

Funeral Arrangements

A Mass of Christian Burial for Lori-Ann Hart will be celebrated on September 27, 2025, at 10:00 AM in Saint Jude Church, Lincoln. Visiting hours will take place on September 26, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bellows Funeral Chapel in Lincoln. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lori-Ann’s memory to the Tomorrow Fund would be appreciated.
