Among them are Ann Marie (Saccoccio) Almonte, Walter Gaudiello, Jeffrey R. Caporizzo, and Thomas M. Burke, each remembered for their unique contributions to family and society.

Ann Marie (Saccoccio) Almonte

Ann Marie (Saccoccio) Almonte, aged 87, passed away on September 25, 2025, in Providence. Born on May 18, 1938, to Vincenzo and Mary (Arzano) Saccoccio, she was the devoted wife of the late Dennis C. Almonte. Ann Marie was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, dedicating her life to her family.

She served as a secretary in the Mayor’s office for the City of Cranston before retiring, earning recognition from colleagues and community members for her service. A lover of reading and spending time at the beach, her passions were well-known among family and friends.

Ann Marie is survived by her three sons: Dennis Jay Almonte (Joanna), Christopher Almonte (Tracy), and Timothy Almonte (Lynn), along with her grandchildren Drew Edwards Almonte, Victoria Almonte, Jami Almonte (Marc), Rachel Almonte (Jack), Nicholas Almonte, and Alex Genao, as well as great-grandchildren Mark and Joey. She is also remembered by her brother, James Saccoccio (Maureen), and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on October 1, 2025, at Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory in Cranston, followed by burial at St. Ann Cemetery. Visiting hours are set for September 30, 2025, from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Continuum Hospice of RI.

Walter Gaudiello

Walter Gaudiello, 72, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2025, in Madison, Florida, surrounded by family. Originally from Rhode Island, he was the son of the late Walter Gaudiello, Sr., and Catherine (Carrier) Gaudiello. Walter was known for his love of trips to Maine, camping, riding his motorcycle, and sharing his culinary skills in the kitchen.

He is survived by his loving companion of 27 years, Bernadette Balmforth, and his sister, Donna A. DiRaimo-DiPiro (Damon). His unique personality will be dearly missed by his loved ones.

Jeffrey R. Caporizzo

Jeffrey R. Caporizzo, known as “Cap,” died surrounded by family on September 17, 2025, at age 55. A resident of Silver Spring, Maryland, he had roots in both Connecticut and Rhode Island. Jeff worked in marketing and creative agencies, most recently at ICF Next, showcasing his skills as an artist and storyteller.

A proud father, son, brother, and partner, he was known for his humor and charisma, particularly with his son, Joseph, with whom he shared daily affirmations. Jeff is survived by his parents, Robert and Elaine Caporizzo, his sister Maria, and his girlfriend Jenny Shaffer and her children. A memorial service is scheduled for October 9, 2025, in Stamford, Connecticut, with a reception to follow. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Montgomery County Parks Foundation.

Thomas M. Burke

Thomas M. Burke, aged 90, passed away on September 26, 2025, deeply mourned by his family. He was the beloved husband of the late Thomas M. Burke and is survived by six children: Mary E. White (Bill), Michael J. Burke (deceased wife Diane), State Senator John P. Burke (District 9), Stephen T. Burke, Hon. Patrick T. Burke (Special Magistrate RI Superior Court, wife Bea), and Thomas J. Burke (wife Sherry Weitzen).

Thomas also leaves behind nine grandchildren: Emma, Burke, Aiden, Ethan, Phoebe White, Billie Anne Burke, and Terrance, Matthew, and Bryana Burke, along with nine great-grandchildren. He is remembered fondly by his sisters, Eleanor Keating and Sally Graham, a sister-in-law Elizabeth Bannon, and many nieces and nephews, while also being predeceased by brothers John F. Jr., James, and George H. Bannon.

As these families grieve their losses, the memories and legacies of these individuals will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved them.
