Warwick, Rhode Island – Paul Earnshaw, a dedicated father and skilled automotive technician, passed away at the age of 68 on Friday, October 10, 2025. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work and environmental advocacy, cherished by his family and community.

Paul Earnshaw was born in Providence to the late Vincent T. and Irene G. (McCaughey) Earnshaw. He is survived by his two daughters, Susan and Emily Earnshaw, as well as his nephew and niece, Keith and Allyson Earnshaw. He was also a devoted brother to the late Vincent J. Earnshaw.

His educational journey began at St. Benedict Catholic School, where he graduated in 1974. He then attended Toll Gate High School and Warwick Vocational Technical Center, focusing on automotive training, culminating in his graduation in 1978. At the young age of 13, Paul began developing his strong work ethic by working at Confreda Farms.

Over his 35-year career in the automotive industry, Paul worked at multiple establishments, including a stint at Fiore Pontiac and a long tenure as a repair technician with Sears, from which he retired in 2024. His passion for cars extended beyond work; he avidly followed the National Hot Rod Association and was known for watching races most weekends.

Beyond his automotive interests, Paul was a lover of nature. He enjoyed fishing and kayaking in and around Narragansett Bay, relishing the opportunity to spend time outdoors immersed in nature. He took pride in hiking Mt. Washington multiple times, with a special accomplishment of taking on the mountain’s challenges during the winter. His commitment to the environment was also reflected in his leadership role as President of the Buckeye Brook Coalition, where he actively worked to promote environmental stewardship.
