Brousseau, Jr., and leaves behind a loving family that includes two sons, a daughter-in-law, three step-children, and five great-grandchildren.
Born on November 15, 1936, in Providence, RI, Carol was the daughter of the late Armand and Evelyn (Truchon) Michaud. Over her lifetime, she made significant contributions to her family and community, particularly through her work at JJ Newberry’s in West Warwick, RI, where she served as a cashier for many years. After her retail career, she dedicated herself to being a full-time homemaker, focusing on raising her children.
In addition to her role as a homemaker, Carol offered her services as a caretaker for St. Joseph’s Parish in Hope Valley, where she was a devoted member throughout her life. Her involvement with the parish was significant and marked her deep commitment to her faith. She also aided her sister, Jeanne, at her store in Watch Hill, further demonstrating her dedication to family and community support.
Musically inclined, Carol had a love for singing, particularly enjoying songs from “The Sound of Music.” This passion was a reflection of her vibrant personality and her ability to bring joy to those around her. Along with her immediate family, Carol is survived by her siblings: Jeanne of Hope Valley, Kenneth, Paul, Armand, and Kathleen, all of Richmond, RI, as well as several nieces and nephews and a large extended family.
In lieu of flowers, donations are being requested in Carol’s name to the RI Community Food Bank, an initiative that aligns with her compassion for others.
