West Warwick, Rhode Island – Alfred E. Marsocci, affectionately known as Noxie, passed away at the age of 85 on Sunday, September 28, 2025. Noxie was a dedicated family man, leaving behind his beloved wife of sixty-two years, Geraldine A. (Marchand) Marsocci.

Noxie was a proud father to Karen Lee (Marsocci) Deslauriers and her husband, Robert N. Deslauriers, Jr. He was a cherished grandfather to Alyssa M. Speranza, Ryan A. Deslauriers, and Albert J. Speranza, and he also held a special role as “Pop Pop” to Anthony Speranza. His family also includes his sister Marianna Marsocci, along with sisters-in-law Jeanette Marsocci and Mary Martin, and brother-in-law Ken Martin. He was predeceased by his brother Samuel Marsocci, brother-in-law Alan Marchand, and sister-in-law Susan Marchand.

Born in West Warwick, Noxie was the son of Samuel and Ida (DiCarlo) Marsocci. A graduate of Lockwood High School, he began his career in the family business as a stone mason. His exceptional stone masonry work can be found throughout the state, marking his contributions to the community.

As his career progressed, Noxie transitioned into the electrical supply business, retiring as the Inside Sales Manager for Northeast Electric. He was admired not only for his professional skills but also for his creative talents showcased in personal projects, including constructing a granite lighthouse, a deck, a gazebo, and various fireplaces for family and friends. Noxie always prioritized family and was known for his willingness to lend a helping hand to others.

Visitation services for Noxie will be held from 4-7 PM on Thursday, October 2nd, at Avery Storti Funeral Home in Wakefield. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:00 AM on Friday, October 3rd, at St. Romuald’s Chapel in Matunuck. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Noxie’s memory can make contributions to St. Francis Church in Wakefield or to Hope Health in Providence, R.I. For condolences and to sign the guestbook, individuals may visit the funeral home’s website.

Noxie Marsocci’s commitment to his family and community will be fondly remembered. He embodied the spirit of service and creativity, leaving a legacy that touched the lives of many.
