In an impressive display of talent, Brown’s beam squad recorded 48.950, which ties for the second-best score in the program’s history. The Bears not only triumphed in the meet but also swept the top six spots in the beam event, showcasing the depth and skill of their team.

Senior gymnast Julia Bedell led the team by clinching the individual vault title with a score of 9.775. In addition, sophomore Liza Marcus and freshman Avery Walters exhibited remarkable performances on the bars, both tying for first place with scores of 9.825.

Brown began the competition with strong performances on the vault, achieving a score of 47.975, which tied for their second-highest mark of the season. Among the noteworthy performances on vault, Sophia Dewar and Umi El Mammann both scored 9.675, placing them in a tie for second, whilst El Mammann achieved a season-high score of 9.600, earning her a tie for fifth.

In the second rotation, the team significantly improved its standing by scoring a season-high 48.750 on the bars. This exceptional performance enabled the Bears to sweep the top six positions in this event as well. Career-high scores came from Marcus and Walters with 9.825, while senior Maya Davis placed third with 9.775, followed by Daisy Fallon in fourth with 9.700 and Emily Ford in fifth with 9.625. Dewar completed the sweep, finishing sixth with a score of 9.550.

After two rotations, Brown’s accumulated score stood at 96.725.

Beam Event Highlights

During the beam competition, the Bears achieved a score of 48.950, tying it with the second-best score ever recorded for the program. This event witnessed co-champions in Lindsey Yang and Jessica Lin, both earning 9.850. Lindsay Van Eyk followed closely in third place with 9.825, and Ford placed fourth with 9.750. Walters finished eighth with a score of 9.675.

Final Event on Floor

In the final rotation on the floor, senior Maya Davis delivered an outstanding performance, winning first place with a score of 9.875. Freshman Avery Walters followed closely behind, scoring 9.825 for second place. Sophomore Lindsey Yang tied for third place with a score of 9.800. Additionally, Liza Marcus earned 9.725, tying for sixth place on the floor.

In total, the team registered a score of 48.900 in the floor event, further solidifying their lead in the meet.
