He outlived many of his siblings, including Anthony Russo, Donato Russo, Concetta Cogean, and Katherine Capobianco. Known as a loving Godfather and uncle, Vito had a diverse professional career, retiring from BB Greenberg where he specialized in fine metals. Vito’s passions included traveling, enjoying Italian cuisine and Tanguary martinis, and surrounding himself with friends and family. A devoted member of the Catholic Church, he faithfully attended Mass, rarely missing a service. His vibrant personality and sense of humor, which he shared generously in jokes and songs, made a significant impression on all who knew him. Vito’s funeral and burial arrangements are private.

Adele (Thomas) Jabour from Providence passed away on September 14, 2025. She was the widow of the late Joseph Jabour and the daughter of the late Joseph and Sarah (Abraham) Thomas. Adele contributed to her community through her work at A&P supermarkets and was devoted to raising seven children with her husband Joe, instilling in them the importance of education and family values. Until she could not walk, Adele attended daily Mass and played an active role in her parish by teaching catechism at St. Mary’s. She also supported her son Paul as campaign manager during his political efforts. Later in life, she earned a bachelor’s degree in social welfare from Rhode Island College, following the graduation of her children. Adele was known for her extensive volunteer work at nursing homes, senior centers, and churches. Summers spent at Sachuest Beach in Middletown, R.I., were among her favorite memories. She is survived by her six children and their spouses, alongside eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled at Holy Ghost Church on September 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation planned on September 18 from 4-7 p.m. at “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home.
