Virginia “Ginny” Sosnicki, aged 76, passed away peacefully at her home on August 29, 2025. Surrounded by her devoted husband of 50 years, William “Bill” Sosnicki, Ginny left behind a legacy of hard work and love. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late William Sr. and Claire (McElroy) Dorsey. Virginia had a remarkable 39-year career at Ocean State Credit Union, where she held the position of Chief Operating Officer until her retirement in 2023.
Throughout her life, Virginia embraced a multitude of interests, with traveling being one of her favorites. She and her husband enjoyed numerous trips to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Additionally, Virginia was passionate about gardening, especially tending to her peonies and watching hummingbirds. Her commitment to family and friends was evident in her love for beach outings, shopping sprees, lunch dates, and hosting family parties.
Virginia is survived by her children, Ginnylee Moyen and her partner Kenneth Paul, and Rene Moyen and his wife Stephanie. She was also a proud grandmother to Simone, Michael, and Giovanna. Virginia leaves behind a loving sister, Janice Guindon, and several siblings, including Judy Wild, Jody Boucher, Jackie Corea, and James “Jimmy” Dorsey, alongside the late William “Billy” Dorsey Jr. Funeral services will be private, conducted by Iannotti Funeral Home, with condolences available online at IannottiFH.com.
Patricia Brown Grimes, 82, of Dublin, Virginia, passed away on August 31, 2025. Born on December 23, 1943, in Washington D.C., she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Madie Adeline Brown. Patricia is survived by her daughter, Lisa Montgomery, and her husband Butch, residing in Pulaski, Virginia. Her grandchildren, Brandon Grimes of Culpeper, Virginia, and Christine Grimes, along with her daughter Kerra Workman from Madison, Virginia, share in the sadness of her passing.
A funeral service in Patricia’s memory will be held on September 5, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Clore-English Funeral Home in Culpeper, Virginia. After the service, she will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in Culpeper. Friends and family are invited to gather for visitation one hour prior to the service. The family encourages memorial donations to be made to Grace Baptist Church in Dublin, VA, in place of flowers.
Virginia Leigh Hollar, aged 35, passed away on August 27, 2025. Born on August 9, 1990, in Newport News, Virginia, she is the daughter of Larry Eugene Hollar and the late Sharon Leigh Jennings Hollar. Virginia is survived by her father and his partner, Cindy Brashares, of Boyce, Virginia. She was engaged to Victor “Jake” Beasley at the time of her passing.
Virginia faced significant hardships in her life, having been preceded in death by her mother Sharon, her brother Jason Eugene Hollar, and her daughter Nori. A memorial service is scheduled for September 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Enders & Shirley Funeral Home Chapel in Berryville, Virginia, with Rev. Dr. Ken Patrick officiating.
