Cranston, RI – The community is heartbroken as it mourns the loss of two beloved matriarchs, Clara Migliaccio and Norma Rodi, who both passed away recently, leaving behind a legacy of love, family, and faith.
Clara Migliaccio, aged 91, passed away peacefully in her home in Cumberland on October 2, 2025. She is survived by her son-in-law, Peter Rainone, and her cherished grandchildren, Michael Rainone and Nicole Colasurdo, along with her great granddaughter, Emma Colasurdo, and a soon-to-be great-granddaughter, Olivia Colasurdo. Clara’s family has been an integral part of her life, and she will be missed deeply by her sister-in-law Joyce Migliaccio and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Luisa Rainone, as well as her parents, Domenico and Luisa (Roberto) Migliaccio. Clara is now reunited with her siblings Jerry, Vito, Nicholas “Nick,” and Fortuna Dodie Falvo.
Visiting hours for Clara will take place at the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory in Cranston on October 8, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by a private burial. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute to honor Clara’s memory and her dedication to family.
In a separate farewell, Norma Rodi, who was 92 years old when she passed away on August 6, 2025, returned home after a life marked by unwavering dedication to her family and faith. She was married for 56 years to the late Edward L. Rodi and is survived by her children, Edward A. Rodi, Steven L. Rodi, Linda A. Hardiman, and Glenn J. Rodi, all of Cranston. Norma was also the proud grandmother of six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A devoted member of St. Ann’s Church, Norma was a founding member of Holy Apostles Church and was well-regarded for her daily recitation of the rosary, as well as countless acts of service to her parish community. Known for her cooking, particularly her homemade meatballs and traditional “gravy,” Norma brought her family together with love and delicious meals.
Norma’s funeral is scheduled for August 12, 2025, at the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory. It will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Apostles Church. Burial will take place at St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston. Visiting hours will be held on August 11 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Holy Apostles Memorial Society in her honor.
Both Clara Migliaccio and Norma Rodi have left indelible marks on their families and the Cranston community. Their lives reflected the values of love, dedication, and service, making them cherished figures whose memories will live on in the hearts of those they touched.
