Family and Career
Betty and Herbert married in 1954, after which they moved to Connecticut. They had two daughters, Suzanne and Sarah, and lived in numerous locations throughout the United States, including Delran, New Jersey; Palatine, Illinois; Vestavia Hills, Alabama; Cranston, Rhode Island; and Warwick, Rhode Island, before finally retiring to Naples, Florida. During her career, Betty worked as a secretary in Boston and, alongside her husband, enjoyed singing, traveling, and spending summers sailing on “The Adventure,” a schooner based in Maine. Betty was a devoted mother and actively participated in her daughters’ lives.

Throughout her life, Betty was known for her volunteer work. She dedicated her time to various organizations, including Toys for Tots and the Southern Regional Opera. Additionally, she started and ran a water exercise class at WTC with her best friend for ten years, showcasing her commitment to health and community engagement. Her kindness, graciousness, and the strong relationships she nurtured as a friend and mother left a lasting influence on many.
Legacy and Mourning
Her husband, Herbert, predeceased her in 1998 due to Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). Betty is survived by her daughters, Suzie Beizer and Sarah Levy, as well as her son-in-law, Joshua Levy. She also leaves behind three grandchildren: Aaron, Samantha, and Hope, who will remember her as a caring grandmother.
