The agreement involves EthosEnergy providing comprehensive operation and maintenance services for RISEC, which is recognized as the largest gas power plant in Rhode Island.
As part of this agreement, EthosEnergy will deliver essential services that include health, safety, environmental compliance, and adherence to the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) standards. Additionally, the company will provide 24/7 remote monitoring services, support for Information Technology and Operational Technology (IT/OT), human resources management, and procurement assistance, ensuring the facility operates smoothly and efficiently.
RISEC is a two-by-one combined-cycle gas turbine power plant located in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, adjacent to the Blackstone River. The plant is owned by Shell Energy North America (US) LP and was commissioned in 2002. With a nominal output of 596 megawatts, RISEC stands out as one of the most efficient and reliable sources of energy in the region, supplying power to the ISO New England market. The plant utilizes two SGT6-5000F gas turbines along with a GE D11 steam turbine.
