Providence – Food Truck Fridays are back at Roger Williams Park Zoo and Carousel Village, kicking off their 11th season on April 18, 2025. The popular outdoor event will continue every Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. until September 26, showcasing a vibrant array of local cuisine and entertainment for families.

This year, attendees will have an opportunity to enjoy a rotating selection of up to 75 local food trucks throughout the summer months. The lineup features a diverse range of dishes, from refreshing açaí bowls to hearty lobster rolls. Every week, between 12 and 15 food trucks will set up in Lincoln starting May 23, 2025, located near R1 Indoor Karting and Storage America from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This addition aims to provide a similar culinary experience for residents of northern Rhode Island.

The festival is not just about food. Food Truck Fridays also offer live music and family-friendly activities, including the chance to ride the carousel or take a spin on a miniature train for an additional fee. New food trucks on the scene this season include The Burrito Bowl, What’s Up Cupcake, Mía Cane, Good Vibes Beverages, and Meat Sweats.

Organized by PVD Food Truck Events in partnership with the Roger Williams Park Zoo, the events are designed to foster community connections and provide a casual atmosphere for neighbors to come together. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets to enjoy the surroundings, although high-top tables will also be available.

For those who wish to indulge in adult beverages, beer and wine will be available for purchase for guests aged 21 and older. However, outside alcohol, smoking, and vaping are prohibited at the event to maintain a family-friendly environment. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are allowed, but attendance with pets is not encouraged.

Organizers plan to keep the community informed by posting the weekly lineup of food trucks and entertainment on their Facebook page and website. Attendance is free, with guests only required to pay for food and drinks they choose to buy. This casual dining alternative has attracted many locals looking for a relaxed evening out.

Food Truck Fridays have seen steady growth in participation over the years, with increasing numbers of visitors taking advantage of the diverse food options and festive atmosphere. This community event not only provides an engaging experience for locals but also contributes positively to the regional economy by supporting local food vendors and creating job opportunities.

As Food Truck Fridays roll into 2025, the event continues to be a beloved summer tradition in Providence, highlighting the dynamic culinary scene and the strong sense of community within Rhode Island.
