Born in Providence, Rhode Island, Larry was the son of Lawrence L. Viscolosi, Sr. and Rose Mignanelli. He spent 33 years of his life in Warren after relocating to the community on Labor Day weekend in 1992. Larry received his education in Providence schools, graduating from Johnston High School before attending Roger Williams University.
Larry’s professional journey began at Prudential Insurance in East Providence, where he garnered several accolades for his performance. After an impressive 35-year career in the insurance sector, Larry stepped into a pivotal role as the third-generation Owner and Operator of Visco Weather Seal Products, an 80-year-old Rhode Island manufacturing company based in Johnston.
An entrepreneur and inventor at heart, Larry was dedicated to assisting builders and architects with energy efficiency solutions. Despite this challenge, he led a remarkably active lifestyle, utilizing scooters as mobility aids while continuing to enjoy customizing them to suit his taste. Larry was known in his neighborhood as “the guy on the red scooter with the little black dog.” His enthusiasm for life extended to his long-standing participation in a local golf league, Amaral’s Putters, where he had been a dedicated member for 26 years.
Throughout his life, Larry maintained a passion for sports cars and Harley-Davidson motorcycles, further illustrating his adventurous spirit. His dedication to living fully despite health challenges served as an inspiration to many in his community.
