She was well-loved by family, friends, and the local community, having made significant contributions to both her family and her neighborhood.

Patricia was the widow of the late Joseph T. Ranaldi and was born in Providence, Rhode Island. She was the daughter of the deceased Ernest and Mary (Sisco) Votta. Throughout her life, Patricia was a dedicated worker; she spent many years employed by the former Old Stone Bank before eventually retiring. Outside of her professional life, she was known for her passion for travel, a love of reading, and her joyful days spent at Bonnet Shores.

Family was at the core of Patricia’s existence. Known affectionately as “Auntie Pat,” her home served as a welcoming haven for relatives, friends, and neighbors alike. She is survived by her two beloved daughters, Jo-Ann Newman and her husband William, and Judy Ranaldi. Patricia was a proud grandmother, doting on her grandchildren, Vanessa McDermot and her husband Anthony, and Matthew Newman and his husband Joseph Rybak, as well as her great-grandchildren, Liliana and Macie.

Patricia also had a cherished sister-in-law, Linda Votta, and was the sister of the late Ernest Votta. Her family and friends will remember her for her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love.

Funeral Arrangements

The funeral services for Patricia Ranaldi are scheduled for Tuesday, September 9, 2025. The service will begin at 8:45 AM at the Pontarelli-Marino Funeral Home located in Providence. Following this, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Grace Church, situated at 15 George Waterman Road in Johnston. Patricia will then be laid to rest at St. Ann Cemetery.

Visitation and Memorial Contributions

Friends and loved ones can pay their respects during the visitation on Monday, September 8, 2025, from 4 PM to 7 PM.
