Fenwick G. Gardiner III, 39

Tragically, Fenwick G. Gardiner III died suddenly on October 14, 2025, at the young age of 39. He is survived by his parents Fenwick and Coreen Gardiner of North Kingstown, along with his sister Mykahla, her husband Matthew, and their two children. Fenwick’s grandmother, M. Arlene Gardiner, and his godparents, Deb Nielsen and Craig Gardiner, also survive him. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Arthur and Helen Desmarais, and paternal grandfather, Fenwick G. Calling hours will be held at Fagan-Quinn Funeral Home in North Kingstown on Sunday, October 26, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. A gathering in procession at the funeral home is scheduled for Monday, October 27, at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernard Church at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the North Kingstown Food Pantry.

Peter Simone, 84

Peter Simone, 84, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025, at his home surrounded by family. Born on November 10, 1940, in Providence, he spent most of his life in North Providence, where he raised two daughters with his beloved wife, Irene A. (Psilopoulos) Simone, for 63 years. Peter is survived by his daughters Helene Macedo and Annmarie Levin, along with his grandson Matthew Levin. He was predeceased by several family members, including brothers-in-law and a niece.

A proud 1959 graduate of LaSalle Academy, Peter was known for his dedication to its legacy and for his career as an industrial engineer at Monet Jewelers after studying at St. Francis College. His political contributions include serving as a Councilman for District 1 in North Providence and leading the RI Senate Page program. Peter enjoyed spending quality time with his family, especially his grandson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at St. Anthony’s Church in North Providence. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to LaSalle Academy or HopeHealth.

Amy Tyler (Morrell) Blanchette, 53

Amy Tyler Blanchette, 53, of Riverside, passed away on October 16, 2025, in St. Luke’s Hospital, New Bedford. She was in a long-term relationship with Leo Robinson and is survived by her parents, Ernest “Bill” and Diana (Tyler) Blanchette, of North Smithfield. Amy graduated from the University of Maine in Orono and worked as a direct staff member at Meadowridge Academy in Swansea.

Amy was a passionate animal lover and actively fostered, rescued, and adopted dogs, cats, and bunnies. She possessed extensive knowledge of plants and was an engaged member of an online plant club. Her funeral is set for Saturday, October 25, 2025, beginning with visitation at 1 p.m., followed by a service at 3:30 p.m. at Holt Funeral Home in Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Friends of the North Smithfield Animal Shelter.

These four individuals leave behind a legacy of love, commitment, and community service. Their contributions and the memories they created will not be forgotten by those who knew them.
