Warwick, Rhode Island – Raymond Ernest Gallucci, Sr., aged 88, has passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of community service, family devotion, and professional dedication. His death has prompted an outpouring of grief from friends and family who remember him for his contributions to the Warwick community.

Born in Warwick, Raymond was the son of the late Joseph E. Gallucci, a former Warwick Police Chief, and Angelina (Angiolilli) Gallucci. He experienced a long-lasting marriage with Carol A. (Lancellotta) Gallucci which spanned sixty-four years. In addition to his wife, Raymond is survived by three children, Raymond E. Gallucci, Jr. (Deborah), Cynthia A. Gallucci, and Robert W. Gallucci (Melanie). He also leaves behind six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Raymond graduated from Lockwood High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Finance from Bryant College in 1957. After his graduation, he served honorably in the United States Army National Guard, achieving the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. His professional career began with Narragansett Brewing Company, where he worked as a Sales Manager in the State of Maine.

Upon returning to Rhode Island, Raymond became the Vice President of Lancellotta Paving Company Inc., specializing in asphalt paving and sealcoating. In 1990, he founded Raymond E. Gallucci, Inc., further establishing his presence in the local business community. For forty-seven years, he also contributed to the community as a snowplow operator during the harsh winter months.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Raymond was deeply involved in local politics and community organizations. He served as a Warwick City Councilman for Ward 8 from 2004 to 2012 and was the Chairman of the Finance Committee. His commitment to the Democratic Party included active participation in the Warwick Democratic City Committee along with several leadership roles in various condo associations. He was a dedicated member of the East Natick Veterans Association and the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #7. Raymond was also a longstanding parishioner at St. Catherine’s Church in Apponaug and later at St. Gregory the Great Church in Warwick, where he actively served on the Parish Council.

Raymond’s funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, October 4, 2025, beginning at 10:30 AM at Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon at St. Gregory the Great Church. The interment will take place at St. Mary Cemetery in West Warwick. Family and friends can pay their respects during visitation hours at the funeral home on Friday, October 3, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to VNA of Care New England, located at 51 Health Lane, Warwick, RI 02886. As the community comes together to remember Raymond, many will reflect on his lasting influence and loving spirit.
