Warwick, RI – The 2025 Rhode Island Interscholastic League (RIIL) baseball regular season came to a close as Hendricken and Pilgrim wrapped up their final game. With the conclusion of the regular season, the stage is set for the upcoming first-round elimination games of the playoffs, scheduled for the Memorial Day Weekend. These critical matches will mark the beginning of intense competition as teams vie for a chance to advance in the playoffs.
The RIIL playoffs will commence on Tuesday, May 27, initiating pod play that will determine which teams will emerge to face one another at Rhode Island College for championship contention. The playoff structure is designed to eliminate teams progressively until only two remain in each division, leading to a thrilling conclusion of the season.

Additional results include No. 9 Smithfield’s close win against No. 8 Westerly at 6-5 and No. 5 Burrillville’s victory over No. 12 Middletown at 6-5 in Division II. In Division III, No. 7 BVPCF won 2-0 against No. 10 Mount Pleasant, and No. 11 North Smithfield convincingly defeated No. 6 Hope 11-1.
