Warwick, Rhode Island – Residents of Rhode Island are preparing for a dreary weather forecast that is causing several community events to be postponed or rescheduled. Current temperatures are around 61° with expected light rain and fog throughout the day. A significant shift in weather conditions will bring a potential for snow, with forecasts predicting 1 to 3 inches of snow accumulation in the morning before skies clear to a partly sunny afternoon. There is a 65 percent chance of precipitation, leading to icy conditions early in the day before warmer temperatures set in.
In light of the inclement weather, multiple events across the state have been affected. The concert and dance featuring the Zydeco Connection, originally scheduled to take place at Warwick Town Hall, has been postponed to Saturday, February 22. Meanwhile, the “Do It Now” performance at the Wendell Full Moon Coffeehouse, which includes artists John Sheldon, Paul Richmond, and Tony Vacca, has been moved to May.
In Turners Falls, The Brick House Community Resource Center announced the postponement of its Community Circle event, now set for Sunday, March 9, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Additionally, the Pamela Means concert planned in Leverett has also been rescheduled, now taking place on February 21 at 7 p.m.
