He was predeceased by his parents, Daniel and Madeline (Morra) MacLellan, his brother, Daniel MacLellan, and his mother-in-law, Harriet V. Gelfuso. Bob is survived by his devoted wife, Paula Gelfuso MacLellan, and several nephews: Kevin, Nicholas, Mark, Matthew, Jonathan, and Alexander Goetz, as well as a niece, Annalise Goetz. Additionally, he is remembered by one great-nephew, three great-nieces, two great-great-nephews, and three great-great-nieces, all residing in Maine.
Bob’s last seven years were challenged by a botched routine medical procedure that led to significant health issues and immense suffering due to medical incompetence. Despite the struggles he faced, Bob maintained the spirit of a child, embracing life with determination and joy until the end.
Visitation services will be held at Nardolillo Funeral Home, located at 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, RI, on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 10 AM to 12 PM. Following the visitation, burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Rhode Island Food Bank or a charitable organization of one’s choice.
