On July 25, 2025, Paul J. Prochet passed away at the age of 98. Paul was the cherished husband of the late Doris L. (Swaine) Prochet and is survived by three children: Donna L. Cleveland (husband Alan), William P. Prochet (wife Donna), and Raymond T. Prochet (wife Eileen). He leaves behind a legacy of love as a grandfather to seven grandchildren: Dianna Weinand, Glen Cleveland, Steven Prochet, Jeffrey Prochet, Brian Prochet (wife Erin), Jason Prochet (wife Jessica), and Amy Prochet. Paul also adored his ten great-grandchildren.
The family will be receiving visitors at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Ave., West Warwick, on Wednesday, July 30 from 9:00 to 10:30 AM, followed by a funeral service beginning at 10:30 AM. Paul will receive military honors during his burial at Pawtuxet Memorial Park Cemetery, Warwick. Another loss felt by the community is that of Terrence Edward Lee, who passed away on July 9, 2025, after succumbing to injuries from a fall he experienced in April. Terrence was the loving husband of Joyce (Singer) Lee and a devoted father to Daniel and Andrea Lee. He was affectionately known as “Pops” by his grandchildren, Zachary and McKenna Lee. Terrence is also survived by his siblings: Karen, Deborah, Kevin Lee, Brenda Russell, and the late Adrienne Lee.
Visitation for Terrence will be held at Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, located at 1328 Warwick Ave., Warwick, on Monday, July 14, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM, with a funeral service to follow at 12 PM. His burial will take place in Pawtuxet Memorial Park. Those wishing to honor Terrence’s memory are encouraged to make donations to HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center or to a charity of their choice. Additionally, the community remembers Joan, who passed away at the age of 73 on September 28, 2025. Joan had a long-standing career with the Providence School Department, dedicating 48 years before her retirement. She is survived by her sister, Judy Monahan, and was preceded in death by siblings John Bucci, Jr. and Elaine Stinson. Joan also leaves a legacy of love as an aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Joan is scheduled for Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Grace Church, located at 15 George Waterman Rd., Johnston.
